I have many, many friends who are pastors. I know their struggles, their work, their heartaches, their aloneness. I love and honor all God called pastors. I know October is considered to be Pastor Appreciation Month. Many pastors will be honored in some special way. I also know, most will not. I offer this prayer for all my pastor friends, as well as those I do not know. I appreciate you! —
“Father, LORD God, I pray that You will provide good and godly friends for all my pastor friends. Friendships that will allow them to just be themselves, and will allow them to be held accountable as a brother in Christ. God, they need time away from the ministry to enjoy the fruit of their labor, I pray that You will provide good friends that will be theirs for a lifetime so that they may dwell together in unity. I pray that they are able to talk about the things of the LORD, and that they may be able to encourage each other on how to remain faithful, committed and loving men of God. I pray these things by the power of Jesus name, Amen!” —
Psalms 133 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”
Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
