Mark 10:28-30 Then Peter spoke up, “We have left everything to follow you!” “Truly I tell you,”Jesus replied,“no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospelwill fail to receive a hundred times as muchin this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to comeeternal life.
Father, thank you for your promise. It is not easy to put you before everything and everyone in our lives. The persecution you speak about is real. We see it increasing every day. We pray for the persecuted, may they have renewed strength today. We join our faith with them and for them. Lord, today may they be able to continue to bear up under the pressure. Help us oh God, to do the same.
No matter what, we declare all across this globe We Are Followers of Jesus. Amen
