How’s Your Love Walk?
Today, let’s pray together from 1Corinthians 13:4-8
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
Father, thank you for your unconditional love for us. Today, we admit our own short comings in this area. Do You? Forgive us when and where we have failed to walk in the love of Christ towards others. Lord, it’s our desire to have God’s love dwelling inside of us.
If today you were standing in front of us, Oh God, and examined our love walk, I know I would fall short. How about you? It is our desire to be a channel through which your love can be poured out to others. Is this true of you? God our world is in need of more love. It brings to remembrance this morning the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy; Oh Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Please help us Lord, to forgive quickly and rejoice when others are being blessed even if we are enduring hardship. You said to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15). May we be found faithful.
Today, we declare all across this globe as Christians, we are going higher in our love walk.
Have A Blessed and Loving Day, For this is the Day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Amen
