Children Being Destroyed by a Lack of Discipline

There are many stories to choose from for today’s Bible Factor Update, from the president circumventing congress on gun control or him limiting free speech illegally by executive order.

There is the fight over the next speaker of the house or the mass release of some 6,000 convicted criminals just because we can. I could tackle immigration and the news that there are more sanctuary cities that will not deal with criminal illegal migrants due to political correctness.

Oh, there is the Toronto College that found out why we traditionally have a men’s room and a ladies’ room when their gender-neutral bathrooms created a voyeur problem for young women being peeped at by young men.

But I think the story that best shows that we have lost even the most basic understanding of how to operate a society because we have left biblical values is the story of a school in the San Francisco area.

There is a 3rd grade child that is being allowed to misbehave so badly that parents are not taking their kids to class. The child is running free to terrorize students and teachers when he punches kids in the stomach or screams in their faces, he will run and lock himself in the bathroom and the principal has even locked the school down on more than one occasion.

A bedrock biblical principle in raising children is disciple and I’m not talking spankings, but the introduction of order and self-control. Schools no longer engage in bringing strength under control but the worst kind of prison management.

As a country we have lost what it means to be an orderly society on every level. When we can no longer deal with an unruly 8 year old, we might have a problem. But here is the thing; it is not only the 8 year old.

From the president ignoring the role of congress to the congress not understanding their legal function. And dare I say it, we can’t even figure out who uses what restroom anymore because it might offend someone, we have lost our way America.
