The IDF’s IDF’s Artillery Corps fired into Syrian territory early Tuesday in response to a shower of shells landing in the northern Golan Heights, which the IDF believes was a random result of fighting between the Assad regime and rebel factions. “The IDF sees the Syrian military as being responsible for what occurs in its territory and will not tolerate any attempt to harm the sovereignty of the state of Israel,” the IDF said.
