Israel continues to attract high-level visitors
Israel received some support and comfort this week from a visit by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and a large delegation of business leaders from the Rocky Mountain State. The Governor had strong word of support for Israel’s security measures amidst the recent spike in terrorism. “We wanted to go and be more public in demonstrating the depth and the commitment, so we went down to the Western Wall, wrote our notes, made our prayers,” Hickenlooper said. “I think it’s a very powerful way to express solidarity.” He also expressed hope for greater cooperation between Colorado and Israel in various fields. Another sign of Israel’s continued attractiveness to international visitors occurred this week when the first ever professional golf tournament held in Israel opened at the Caesarea Golf Club. The Edmond de Rothschild Israeli Masters tournament is part of the ALPS Tour and has attracted several of the world’s top athletes in the sport.
