Honest prayer is a ‘believer’ admitting that he is not in control, but yet, at the same time allowing himself under God’s control and authority. This is one reason some believers do not pray; they cannot deal with not being the one in control, even when they do not know what to do. They may never fulfill the words:
“If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
