Israel announces arrests of IS suspects amidst intense global activity
Security officials in Israel announced Wednesday that they recently arrested several Arab citizens from the Galilee village of Jaljulya on suspicion that they were preparing to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State (IS) terror militia. The announcement came as reports came in from Paris that a raid by police on an apartment where the mastermind of last Friday’s terrorist massacre was believed to be hiding. The raid ended with a shootout and explosion as a female suspect detonated a suicide vest, killing herself. Five suspects were taken into custody and another died at the scene, while three police officers and a passerby were also wounded.
