Let us be in prayer for Stu’s family………Stu was loved by all of New Mexico, he loved our state!
I was shocked to tears this morning when KDAZ newsman Frank Haley messaged me that Stu Walker had died. What a great man, so very kind! I worked with Stu when he was a radio announcer for the radio station “Magic” He was the ultimate announcer, always caring about the listener first, just like he did at the Lobo and Isotopes games. We used to live by Stu and his wife, Francina. What a lovely couple! Here is what the Isotopes posted:
It is with deep regret that we inform you long-time Albuquerque Isotopes public address announcer Stu Walker passed Monday afternoon. Stu had served as the Isotopes PA announcer since the team’s inaugural season 2003.
“It’s a very sad day for the Isotopes family,” General Manager John Traub said. “Stu was an exceptional man and a loyal employee. He and his voice will be missed around the ballpark.”
