The U.S. embassy has told Americans in Mali to stay indoors after gunmen shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ raided a hotel full of foreigners and took hostages.

Gunmen took at least 170 guests and workers hostage at the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali’s capital Bamako, a hotel spokesman told NBC News.
