We often say that God is faithful, but do we really believe?
Lets see and define what it means to be faithful.
Faithful is someone that is stable, steady, firm, honest, trustworthy, certain, reliable, and dependable.
God is faithful and He always keeps his promises, to those who love and obey him.
Psalm 18:25 To the faithful you show yourself faithful.
God is faithful to his word. It is part of His character.
Deuteronomy7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.
For those who seek him there is hope and an expectation knowing that he is faithful to bring our deliverance.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Look at Abraham and Sarah, they received their miracle. Abraham refused to doubt, instead he exercised his faith by giving God praise and glorify his name, in doing this he received strength and an assurance knowing that God would do what he promised him. His faith and trusting in God is what gave him the victory!
Romans 4:19-20 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead, since he was about a hundred years old and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthen in his faith and gave glory to God,21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.
Its not that our situations are not real, but we must take them into consideration, knowing that God is faithful to his word and that he will see us through. Our focus must always be on God that he is able and willing if we just keep the faith. As we do our part to obey his word and rest in his faithfulness. Then we can built a relationship with God, and keeping our eyes on the promises for he is faithful and we can rely on him to bring it to pass.
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the Lord is right and true, he is faithful in all he does.
Psalm 111:7The works of his hands are faithful and just, all his precepts are trustworthy.
Psalm 145:13 The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
Lord thank you for your faithfulness as we keep our eyes on you and not doubt but standing firm in your promise word and seeking your face and giving praise then we will receive from you for you are faithful toward all of you promises.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
