Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Seeking the Lord means seeking his presence, seeking his face a heart felt seeking.
1 Chronicles 22:19 Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God.
Seeking him is setting our minds and heart and soul on God to come before him with a humble heart surrendering all to him.
Colossians 3:1-2 Since then you have been raised with Christ set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God 2 Set your minds on things above not on earthly things.
It is directing our hearts to God, when Paul prayed to the church he said in 2 Thessalonians 3:5 May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance .
It is having a conscious effort. God will reveal himself through his word. We need to constantly set our minds towards God in all of our situations.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek the Lord while he maybe found, call on him while he is near.
Don’t allow pride to stop you from seeking the Lord.
Psalm 10:4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him in all his thoughts there is no room for God.
The great promise for those who seek the Lord is that he will be found.
1 Chronicles 28:9 If you seek him he will be found by you.
Psalm 27:8 My heart says of you Seek his face Your face Lord I will seek.
Psalm 27:13-14 I am still confident of this I will see the goodness of the Lord. 14 Wait for the Lord be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
With seeking comes the promise that you can be close to God. The bible says draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Seek me and you will find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
He is looking for you Psalm 14:2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
Seek God for he will reward you Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
How close do you want to be with God?
God is waiting on us to seek him. He longs for us to spend time with him. We have to have a passion for his presence by spending time in prayer and meditating on his word through the Holy Spirit we can be comforted by his presence in our lives. Seeking after God’s heart will lead us into his blessings and will give us a peace and joy in our lives.
Psalm 119:2 Blessed are they who keep his statues and seek him with all their hearts.
Psalm 40:16 May all you seek you rejoice and be glad in you may those who love your salvation always say The Lord be exalted!
Psalm 105:3 Glory in his holy name let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Lord I will seek you with all my heart, I know that I will be found by you. As I draw near to you , you will draw near to me . My soul thirst for you , I long to see your glory so therefore I will give you thanks and praise and continually bless your name . Amen
