Caleb’s Heart By Jeanne Theriault

Looking at the children of Israel who fail to take possession of their inheritance, because they weren’t willing to confront their adversaries. God was angry with them because of their rebellion . One of the twelve spies Caleb was willing to honor God though he was out numbered even to the point of death (Numbers 14:10)
Caleb had seen the land himself. He trusted God’s promise. He believed God’s word in conquering the land. There were twelve spies they complained, but Caleb did not agree with them, he was ready to trust God for the victory in a challenging land. He had faith in God’s promises in spite of the apparent obstacles. His courage and faith was effective.
What obstacle do you have in your life? Is it fear, your health, family issues, your job, Finances, your children, your marriage? Is doubt holding you back from what God has for you? Do you have friends like Caleb telling you that it is impossible? Caleb seen it even before it came to pass. You need to see yourself healed, blessed, prosperous, delivered, refuse to allow fear to overshadow your hope and trust in the Lord. Face your enemies by using God’s promised word.
Psalm 27:2 When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh when my enemies and foes attack me they will stumble and fall. Though Caleb was out numbered he trusted God and believed his Word. Though the people were complaining , he did not agree with them instead he had faith and trusted God When you have faith your faith will move the hand of God.
Caleb told Moses and the people, Numbers 13:30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.
Sometimes you need to quiet anything that comes against us and speak out the words of God over our situation.
Caleb had a heart for God he new that God would bring him into the promised land. He did not look at the circumstance that they were in but he looked at the one who was in the circumstance. God is in all of our circumstances if we allow him to work it out for us.
In order for our faith to be effective we must combine our words an act on our actions. For God keeps every promise that He makes.
1 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made they are yes in Christ and so through him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God.
As children of God we need not listen to anyone that has words of fear or doubt . But to be obedient to what the word of God promises us. Are we going to have a heart of fear and doubt or have a heart of faith and trusting in his Word. I believe that inside of every child of God is a spirit of Caleb.
What so ever you do , do it whole heartily as to the Lord and not unto men.
1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore my dear brothers stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
