Good day to you! Today, God is first in all things as He is everyday, and each day is a choice to begin our day pure in heart filled with the love of God that HE has for all the world who might believe!
Our heart matters and our choices reflect our heart.
It is not always the best thing for us to sacrifice what is best for us for the benefit of others, but it is the best thing for others to do the right thing unto them God’s Way!
It was not the best thing for Jesus to go to the cross, but it was the best thing for us!
Many times people treat us in ways that we would never do to them and yet, God’s Word teaches us to turn the other cheek. This does not mean that we are to enable others in their iniquity; nor become their doormat –on the contrary, this means that because we have Christ living in us, we can demonstrated a goodness, kindness, patience and selfless love to others that the world has not understood or seen demonstrated until they are moved by the power of God’s love whom is living in you and me who know and believe in the love that God has for us!
People are moved by God’s power –not by our Bible thumping judging! Now, that is a powerful statement both ways, but in our human existence, we have to be willing to admit, “Are we human?” “Then, we are all are flawed in our human nature!” Yet, Christ in us enables a new spiritual nature, whom enables us to be empowered by God’s Holy Spirit to love like Jesus first loved us!
Have you experienced the love of Jesus alive in your heart yet? If not, you can; and your are invited to Come to Jesus and dine with Him literally! It is okay if you don’t understand yet. Understanding comes with believing, praying, asking, seeking and knocking on the door of understanding! Understanding comes by God’s Holy Spirit and through His written Word. Don’t be quick to give up your gifts from God!
Have you experienced the overflowing power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in your inner spirit yet? Just as experiencing God changes us, so does our demonstration of God’s transformation in us draw notice to God alive in us! Now, for clarification, We don’t seek people to follow us -we seek to demonstrate Christ alive in us that others may see the light of God in a darkness covered world to seek Jesus to know and believe in the love God has sent to the world for hope!
People notice the difference, even if they don’t understand, God is attractive in us! This is exactly how Hope in Today Ministries “Mirror Ministry” began too! First we have to know and believe in the beauty God has put in us! On a mirror, we place a sticker with this prayer to help people see clearly how immensely and incredibly beautiful they are to God in His eyes! If you struggle with self-esteem, pray, “Dear God help me see me as you see me; Let my smile remind me of who I am and let my smile demonstrate the power of Christ’s love living in me to the world that is for all who will come to Jesus and believe!
Did you know your smile is that powerful? Don’t let the enemy’s lies steal your confident smile!
I prayed this week for strength in something I was struggling with. God helped overcome a battle within through knowing the power that is in the truth of God’s Word. Now, our brother’s are human, but God’s child they are. And,there are others in our life that don’t know Christ yet, but still that is not our job to figure it all out. Our job is to pray for spiritual discernment and be the light of Jesus in a dark world. And, for me in this prayer, not to allow Satan to manipulate me to give away my peace and joy from God. There is a power within us when we come into full agreement to God’s Word …
As Matthew 5:8 teaches us: Blessed are the Pure in heart, for they shall see God!
Now, is there “any excuse” that we should use to justify doing as we please? NO! Seek to please God and experience the pureness of peace and joy that is in the midst of being near to God -even on this earth as it is in Heaven. Don’t be a “people pleaser” … but God will enable you to be a Christ demonstrator! This love is a result of knowing the good news in the pureness of our heart of God!
Here is the short list that helped me; and which actually began as a basis of teaching our son about how to deal with someone who is not nice to us!
How do we love like Jesus? We walk in the Truth God’s Way in the Life we have been given! Read God’s Word to know WWJD!
- If we say we love God …
- But, If we hate our brother, we are a liar.
- The Bible says, Let us not grow weary of doing good, so to me, “let us” means we have a choice and also explains we have a need to pray for spiritual strength to keep doing good even when people are not nice to us.
- Treat people like you like to be treated. This is for the Christian, every “I, me and you” out there believing in the love that God first has for us!
- Sometimes God allows a test to come to us by presenting us with a choice …
- To Obey … God’s Command to love like Jesus
- To Trust God; and also in His Son Jesus.
Will you go out of your way to obey God just because He asked you?
Here’s how!
- Grounded in THE Faith of Christ’s Love, God’s commandments are made easy to us.
- Christ came to teach us, not only what we are to know and believe, but what we are to do.
- Jesus and God’s Word through the Holy Spirit corrects our view and teaches us how to do better each and every time we are challenged with an opportunity to obey God by our faith –and then we shall see what God will do!
This is my story and I am sharing my faith in a good God for your benefit to know and believe to help you in your challenges that God will give you the same opportunities to trust Him as He gives me and my family.
Will you trust God today? Greater is God in you than he that is in the world! And, know also that your situation IS out of God’s hands in this world, because Satan has power in this world as long as God calls it today. HOWEVER, you have a choice! Your situation is spinning our of control, UNTIL you give it all to Jesus; and pray for God’s hand to guide you in the power of His Holy Spirit! Place your hope in God through the hope God gave you, JESUS! Put everything in God’s hand, because God is good! Yet, also, ask God to help you know what to do by your faith!
Oh my, the love of Jesus that enables us in all things to overcome by His Spirit and according to our faith! Not by our human strength or might alone. We all need Jesus –and we need each other to encourage us in THE Faith of Christ, our Savior and Lord along our way in this journey as long as God calls it today!
