LORD, America, Please!

Dearest God of Mercy and Grace, I humbly approach You this day with a breaking heart, to plead for our home, our nation, America.   We surely deserve to receive from Your hand only wrath and judgment, but I beg for mercy.  I confess to You that we are guilty of these sins and more: godlessness, greed and materialism, sexual immorality; perversion of sex, power and authority, and truth; homosexuality; abortion; racism; alcohol and drug abuse; lawlessness; gambling; divorce; financial irresponsibility and debt; moral depravity in our entertainment industries; crime; rebellion; weak, liberal, unbelieving and disobedient churches; involvement in the occult and blatant satanic worship; a lack of compassion for the poor; hatred; abandonment of our children to the sin sick morals of the world; and, wickedness beyond my ability to comprehend.

I beg Your forgiveness for this people solely on the merits of Christ Jesus’ shed blood, as “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world”  (1 John 2:2).    Much of our nation is blinded by the god of this world, that old dragon, the devil (2 Cor. 4:3-4) therefore they are powerless to appeal to You themselves.   But myself, and others of Your people, being priests of God will stand in the gap (Rev. 5:10; Ezek. 22:30) and intercede for them.

Father, I am so very grateful for Your grace, love, compassion, and mercy.  I ask that Your Spirit would stir Your Church to revival.  Discipline us, revive us, so this nation will take note and turn from wickedness and find Your glorious righteousness,  thus being convicted of sin and their hearts to genuine repentance.   Father, forgive them, (us)for they (we)do not know what they (we)are doing, in the precious name, and the blood, of Jesus, Your Son,  Amen!
