Terrorism and Rumors of Terrorism Increasing

Reports out of Istanbul, Turkey early Tuesday indicate that an explosion took place in a highly popular tourist district, killing several people and wounding many more in what security officials believe was a terrorist attack. The incident came a day after a Turkish teenager of Kurdish origin attacked a Jewish man as he left a synagogue in the French city of Marseille, later telling police he “acted in the name of Allah and the Islamic State,” prosecutor, Brice Robin told reporters. Also on Monday, a migrant from Syria and another from Afghanistan assaulted a Jewish citizen of France at a ferry terminal in Puttgarden, Germany, identifying him verbally by an Arabic word for “Jew” before knocking him down and proceeding to kick and punch him. Elsewhere, spokesman for Al-Qaida and IS issued several audio/visual messages this week threatening to step up attacks on their various enemies in the days ahead. Read More >>
