Good Morning Beautiful People…The Prayer Experience Day 5
Wow, day 5 already. This is from my prayer experience at a local church I was attending.
We began the journey together as I traveled the stations all based on The Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6:9-13.
We now have traveled together the Adoration, Thanksgiving, Penitence and Oblation Stations, and now let’s go into the Petition Station.
Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, Forever and ever. Amen.
I picked up a paper that read Petition.
Petition is when we present our own needs, physical and spiritual, that God’s will may be done.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Prayers of Petition
Psalm 119:103-105
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! Yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Acts:29-30
And now, Lord, behold their threatening: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, by stretching forth thine hand to heal: and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
Bread of Life – And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. John 6:35
Now take a few moments and write out or speak out loud your prayer of Petition.
Here’s my prayer for us:
Father, you know what we have need of before we even ask. You make a way for your people, even when there seems to be no way. Thank you for our daily bread. You meet our needs according to your riches in glory. We are your blessed children. (Tell Him what you have need of.)
Lord, all across this globe today, we don’t need more worldly possessions, we need more of you in our dry and thirsty land. Father, together we join our faith and ask for a spiritual awakening in America (name your Country). Your will is that none should perish and your will is our hearts desire. God will you visit us once again with the greatest outpouring of your spirit? We need you Lord, our children need you and our grandchildren Oh God. It appears they have tried to take you out of everything here on earth. Forgive them for they know not, Oh God.
Use us today, Oh Lord, to be an answer to someone’s prayer. We are your hands and feet extended, for your glory alone. Amen
