Clinton beats Sanders in Nevada
By Ben Kamisar
Hillary Clinton fended off Bernie Sanders to narrowly win Saturdays Nevada caucuses, giving both campaigns a chance to claim momentum heading into next Saturdays South Carolina primary.
Clinton can tout her win as a reason that South Carolinians should support her, as she did with her narrow Iowa victory. But for Sanders, Nevadas results give him a chance to say he substantially breached Clintons supposed minority firewall she hopes will save her in the Palmetto State.
