- Pray for the church’s leaders (pastors, deacons, teachers, music leaders, etc.)
- Pray for the membership. (in a large church, do this by groups)
- Don’t just take advantage of the church’s ministries and programs, find a way you can help.
- Be an encourager of your pastor, not a criticizer.
- Be supportive of the church, actively and financially.
- Be respectful of the church’s services; Bible Study times, Prayer gatherings, and Worship services, by arriving before the start times. (Being late is disruptive and rude to those who have worked hard on their presentations, etc. )
- Make it part of your preparation routine to visit the bathroom before start times of classes and Worship. (When one person gets up in the middle of worship or preaching, for example, all eyes and minds are now on that individual; and most everyone has stopped listening).
- Expect that the Holy Presence of God is there, and honor His Presence with respect due Him.
- Listen for God speaking to you, and when appropriate, share with others what He may have shown you.
- Be ready and willing to participate when the opportunity is given to you.
- Be ‘pre-prayered’ for worship, and other church gatherings. (Pray before you go, so that you will have a heart to give worship to our Creator, and anticipate His speaking to you).
