Proud or Humble?

Today, let’s ask God for a spirit of humility.

Psalm 149:4   For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.

Psalm 147:6   The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground.

James 4:6    But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble”.

1 Peter 5:5   All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

Father, thank you for humility. Today, we ask you to purify us, that we will walk humbly before our God. Show us areas of our life that is prideful, so that we can cast it down and walk according to Your Word.   

You give grace and favor to the humble and you oppose the proud. Thank you for grace and favor as we humble ourselves under Your mighty hand.

Today, all across this globe, we seek Your face oh God of Jacob. Amen
