The Western-backed Palestinian Authority issued a statement Sunday praising the PA police officer who carried out a shooting attack which wounded three IDF soldiers at a checkpoint near the Beit El settlement north of Jerusalem earlier in the day. The shooter, identified as Amjad Sukkari, a PA police officer who also worked as a bodyguard for the Palestinian attorney general, was killed when the soldiers manning the checkpoint returned fire. After determining that the terrorist attack originated in Ramallah, the IDF set up a partial blockade of the city Monday, only allowing residents to enter or leave. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also issued a statement demanding “that the international community stop the hypocrisy and do everything it its power to pressure the Palestinian Authority to cease its incitement against Israel.” Read More >>
