US to Re-Start Training Program in Syria
Despite the catastrophic failure of previous efforts to train and equip “moderate” rebel factions in Syria to battle the Islamic State (IS) terror militia, US President Barak Obama authorize the Pentagon this week to launch a new initiative along those lines. In related news, the Kurdish-controlled regions of northeast Syria announced on Thursday that they will seek autonomy under a federal system, a move which the Assad regime has warned in the past it would not tolerate.
