Unexplained Difficulties, Believer?

Jerry Calf“Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

And He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Then saith He unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with Me.

And He went a little farther, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt.”   (Matthew 26:36-39)

I will forever contend, the greatest victory for man, and the last defeat over Satan by Jesus Christ, may have been won in the Garden of Gethsemane, at least on the personal level for Jesus.

Some may not readily understand, but Jesus, on the night of His agonizing Garden prayers, was on the edge of greatness.   And because of this, Satan tried to have his way with Jesus in the Garden when He was on the verge of the greatest event in all history for humanity.

Satan is a master distracter, hinderer, and destroyer of godly plans of men.  He is a disturber of each believer.   He is at least an attempted destroyer of families.   He has way too much freedom within God’s House among God’s people.

In the same fashion as with Jesus in the Garden, Satan attacks believers in the home and in the church when he suspects they too, are approaching the edge of greatness for God and man.   Really!   If he attempted to distract, hinder, and destroy the plans of God for Jesus, what makes you think he won’t interrupt you on your way to greatness for the Father?   Do not allow him to dismay God’s plans in you.   When you feel Satan’s heat turning up, realize he is afraid of your coming victory for the Kingdom.   Stand firm!   Keep on keeping on!   You will win, if you will not allow him to crumble you.   Pray On!
