Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to your Word. Accept, Lord, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law. The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts. Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.
Father, thank you for the Word of God. It is alive and active. It is sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12) We submit our lives to your Word. (Tell Him if that’s true.) No matter what situation or circumstance we find ourselves in, your Word is our greatest asset.
Today, Lord we pray for our Words. May they build another person up, encourage someone that may be losing hope and bring the love of Christ to people all around us today. Help us to be silent when we need to be silent, speak when we need to speak. Help us to speak life words.
Holy Spirit help us to remember what we read in the Holy Scriptures and Keep this Book of the Law always on our lips; meditate on it day and night, so that we may be careful to do everything written in it. Then we will be prosperous and successful according to Joshua 1:8. Amen
