Today on News and Views, a presentation of The HUB of New Mexico and FGGAM, we talk about the Espanola Basketball coach who was fired. A report has it that Coach Richard Martinez was fired for praying with his team, another report has it that he was fired for the way he handled a team fight. What is the truth? Here is the report we filed this morning:
Well, my head is swimming after reading the Albuquerque Journal this morning! It seems that the Espanola, New Mexico School Superintendent, Bobbie Gutierrez fired the boys basketball coach right before resigning! One report, is that the coach, Richard Martinez says he was placed on leave for leading the team in prayer. Then right before the Superintendent resigned, she fired the coach! Other reports have the Coach in hot water for the way he handled a team fight. So where is the truth? Drama in Espanola..God is not a God of Chaos. Chaos in our schools is a shame….makes my head swim…..the ABQ Journal has two stories on this mess in Espanola, one in the metro section and one in the sports page… my head is swimming in disgust!
