Sharon and I were blessed to attend the farewell get together for Pastor Leonard and Diana Navarre at Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood Sunday evening. It was a joyous event as we can see God in this move, but it is also sad to see Leonard and Diana go. Life will not be the same. During all the morning services the congregation honored Leonard and Diana for their service to the church and community. I have found the Valley View congregation so loving over the years! It is hard to put into words the impact Leonard and Diana have had on so many lives. Edgewood will miss them greatly, we all will! I am posting this podcast again as we have been asked to. One of our most listened to podcasts!! For God’s Glory Alone! Amen! The Church was full last night to honor Leonard and Diana, we got to see so many friends, including Kelly and Glenn Snelgrove, Pastor Don and Dorothy Kimnbro and many more! PTL! Enjoy the podcast!
We just got this love letter from Leonard……..
Good morning all:
Words cannot express Diana’s and my love, appreciation and heartfelt thanks for making our last Sunday as Staff at Valley View Christian Church SO SPECIAL. The whole day was so wonderful and heartwarming to us. I know I will miss some in my thanks, but here goes: Big thank you to Pastor Brandon, elders: Tom Schafer, Jason Weaver and Chris Keller for their love, friendship and especially their leadership here at VVCC. You all are very special leaders in our church circles of today. Big thank you to the Hospitality team for the Reception: Jeneane Weaver, Debbie Begosian, Candace Bell and Joyce Schoby (I know I missed someone – but we thank all those who helped). Thank you to our photographers Elias Lucas and Ian Hill. THANK YOU TO ONE AND ALL WHO MADE THE DAY SO SPECIAL TO ME AND DIANA!
YOU ALL WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN OUR HEARTS.
RETIREMENT???? WHAT??? No no! Just TRANSITIONING! We are (hopefully) not dying just transitioning and moving to another chapter in our lives. We want to travel a little more, fish, do more mission work, fish, do more church growth consulting, fish, help our family in Lubbock, fish, do podcasts for our web page (and FGGAM.ORG), fish, and more writing. We covet your prayers as we move into this new chapter of our lives.
There will always be a bed for anyone who wants to drop by our home in Lubbock, Texas and of course, we’ll get the Keurig fired up first. Soon as we have a permanent address (house in Lubbock doesn’t close until May 31st- so we’ll be around a while) we’ll let everyone know.

Now may our God and Father, himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our ways back to each other and may the Lord make each of us increase and abound in love for one another and for all, AS WE DO FOR YOU” – (my paraphrase – I Thessalonians 3:9-12
We love each one of you and we are praying for you and your families, always

By the way, i should add that Leonard will continue to serve as an adviser to FGGAM and also post here at FGGAM. His posts are so popular! Leonard has also told us he will be doing podcasts in the future! PTL!
Leonard and Diana formed a powerful team in serving the Edgewood area at Valley View. Now they follow God’s leading to Lubbock!
I met Leonard about 8 years ago when Pastor Don Kimbro introduced me to him. Leonard had just returned from a mission trip to India. From that time we have been very close Friends, Leonard has taught me much over the years, he helped prepare me for what God had planned for me here at FGGAM. Now God has plans for Leonard and Diana in Lubbock.
You see life is all about serving God, and Leonard and Diana have set the example for us all.
It’s all about God.
To live a God-centered life, you must focus on God’s purposes, not your own plans. Try and see things from God’s perspective rather than from your distorted human view.
Sharon and I thank Leonard and Diana for all their Godly support over the years and I will always remember the days Leonard drove from Edgewood to Albuquerque to help me at KKIM radio during New Mexico News and Views. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this man!
These scriptures fit the life of Leonard and Diana………..
1 Samuel 12:24
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
Romans 12:1
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
