When we find ourselves in trouble or in times of uncertainly we get very nervous, uptight and anxious. Sometimes people get scared to death, like these times we live in. When we have those times in our lives, what we really need most is to hear Jesus say, “Peace be with you!” When Jesus said that to the disciples, it should have sparked something in their memories….something that He said to them at the Last Supper: “Peace I leave you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27. They didn’t know it at the time, but He was trying to prepare them for what was going to happen over the next few days. I beleive God is trying to do the same with you and I, this day..today….this world we live in.

Sadly, I do not hear many folks talking about the movie WAR ROOM anymore, and how it changed their life! I am still on fire from that movie and the message! It changed my life! One thing I am finding about so many folks these days they jump from one thing to the next without letting anything stick to them! Meaning the knowledge from the movie WAR ROOM is forgotten, just like many sermons that Pastors give. We are a society that moves so very fast, from one thing to the next, the next event to the next church program. Many jump so fast into the next phase, they do not let God work on them. They miss the movement and knowledge of the Holy Spirit.
I encourage you to read the book pictured below, which came from the WAR ROOM movie.
Prayer, at the heart, is communicating with God. Reverently and openly. Sincerely. Interacting directly with the magnificent God of the universe who is really there. The reason a basic reminder is even needed is because, honestly, we can deceive ourselves with our own performance or forget we’re in His presence when we pray. From page 33 in chapter 5.
Always pray with your Bible and take your Bible wherever you go, even to work. I wonder how many Christians take their Bible wherever they go?
Charles Spurgeon said, “Read many good books, but live in the Bible” Are you living in the Bible? Where do you live?
Then behave like you live in the Bible, don’t leave home without it! Don’t embarrass God.
