New Mexico, Come Back to God!

I am not here to be popular…..I will never be a top read blogger in this country, I speak and write an unpopular message in these troubling days. I have come to inflict the comfortable and comfort the inflicted. I was raised up in a home that you always told the truth, you did not have a political party speak for you. I do not get my news from Facebook. Facebook in my mind is causing more dysfunction in our country. I am an old newsman from the 70’s. Starting out at the Minnesota News Network. Facebook has reconnected friends from days of the past and can be encouraging, but is also is contributing to the dumbing down of America. Facebook has become on the top news sources in the world. Huge mistake America! Surprise! Facebook is not a place to get your news. Too many of the news sources on Facebook are false. Journalism takes a big hit on Facebook. I will also say that social media is not getting us anywhere, we are increasing our bad behavior. The scoreboard is in evil’s favor. Today, I want to focus on New Mexico, this is not a Political party issue, the following are Godly issues…..Failing schools, violent crime, heroin epidemic, failing economy, abortion capital and now this report:         ABQ Journal Story Here

What will it take to get the attention of the people in New Mexico to our horrific problems? All we get out of Santa Fe from the Democrats and Republicans is more of the same….It seems the Democrats and Republicans of New Mexico like to celebrate failure, the failure to protect our children from evil, because through abortion, killing God’s babies, they embrace evil. God will not bless this evil behavior. There is ramifications to sin, the wrath of God. I would recommend the reading of the Bible.

Romans 1:18

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

You should not have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the Republicans and Democrats have a record of complete failure in leading this state. We are failing God and His children through abortion and poor schools and child poverty, drug abuse, crime, porn and more evil.  We have poor schools and no jobs. For the most part we are not leading our children to victory!

The state of New Mexico cannot continue its evil ways and expect God to bless this behavior. He will not.

PS: Did you see our story on the fact the failing athlet programs at UNM have caused the AD to approve beer sales at the newly named “Beer Pit” ? So when UNM faces economic disaster from poor sports teams and poor attendance it looks to booze money.

v

I am appalled at the decision the University of New Mexico has made to sell booze at sporting events. Drunk driving deaths are common in our state, so I guess the University wants to feed death. Just because it’s sports teamsdewey cupDewey life verse cannot win or draw people and has falling revenue it is turning to evil to make up the loss in money!!! I say cancel sports! Save us all money! I ache for all the families that have lost loved ones through drunk driving deaths, all the families that have been destroyed by booze, I think of a state that allows people to drive a car, even after being arrested 18 times for DUI! I think of a University all messed up with abortions and the fetal tissue issue. God cannot and will not bless this mess. UNM needs to repent and turn to Jesus! UNM is not Christ like, as we are taught to be!

Will you stand in the gap with me?

Ephesians 5:18

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

Proverbs 20:1

Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.

Galatians 5:21

Envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 23:29-35

Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? Those who tarry long over wine; those who go to try mixed wine. Do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup and goes down smoothly. In the end it bites like a serpent and stings like an adder. Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart utter perverse things. …

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

UNM is not Christ like.

Does anybody else see this dysfunction?

Seek Jesus and His Word and Ways!

We should be weeping and mourning at the darkness we feed as a state.

Repent!

I know my answer is too simple for so very many, the answer is always JESUS for me!

It seems to me that New Mexico believes it can fight God and win………this same shoe fits America.

If you would like to have Jesus come into your life, to be your guiding light, email or call me. I will help you. I am here to serve you.

I close with the post from Pastor Jerry McCullah………

Prayer-Meeting-Logo“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”     (Matthew 5:6)

I remember visiting the First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, Russia in 1995. This church had a Thursday night service as well as a Wednesday night service and multiple services on Sunday, as part of their routine. I went on a Thursday night, and arrived about an hour early because I did not know what time the service actually began. To my surprise, hundreds of people had already begun to arrive and stood outside awaiting the opening of the building. Nearly all the people had walked great distances to come early enough that they might get a seat. (The seating capacity, I found later, was 1500).   I was also surprised and excited to see later when the building opened, the house filled, and many folks stood around the walls of the sanctuary. All seemed to have a hunger and an expectancy to meet with God!

Upon meeting and speaking with the Senior Pastor through my interpreter, the pastor asked me to preach in the service.   What an honor!   It was also stress, as I had nothing ready to share.   I definitely had a Holy Spirit night.   He guided me wonderfully.

Just before I was to speak, the pastor gave a ‘call to prayer’.   I observed many people kneeling, others made their way to the altar; and I still have a memory of a few elder women crawling on their hands and knees weeping and praying their way to the altar.

I saw this same hunger for God and love for His church throughout Russia, and in the underground churches, I visited in both China and Vietnam.

Then I return home to our American churches where being on time is a struggle for many.   I do not see the same hunger on the faces, nor the expectancy to meet with God. I have wondered, “What is the difference?”   I came to a painful conclusion . . . we do not know persecution as they do!

Beloved American church, I believe and trust God that we may experience revival; spiritual awakening, but I think persecution will be the path to our knees in humility.
