National Day of Prayer 2016 Old TownIt was a very blessed day for the National Day of Prayer in Albuquerque! I was super blessed to be there and to see friends like Laura Rosecrans from The HUB of NM and Frank (News Director at KDAZ AM730) and Alice Haley, Pastor Richard Mansfield and many others.

Pastor Bill Ruhl filed this report:

A beautiful, sunny, warm day for the National Day of Prayer Albuquerque which took place again this year with a gathering in Old Town Plaza at the Gazebo. Worship kicked off at 11:30 with songs centered around the NDOP theme, “Wake Up America”. Two ladies from the War-ship Warriors worship team, Jenn Barlea and Selina Lucero join me in singing, Prepare Ye the Way, Light Be, Spirit Break Out, and Awakening. A little history of “Old Town” and “New Town” Albuquerque was shared to give those in attendance a better understanding of the significance of choosing the Plaza location for prayers for the city and state. Following worship we transitioned into a “concert” of prayer for families, the Church, Media/Entertainment, business, the nations, education, a reading of the NDOP prayer by Dr. Tony Evans and the proclamation for this year’s day of prayer issued by President Barack Obama. Closed with a series of scripture decrees for our nation and government. Prayers were brought by youth leaders from Children in Prayer New Mexico, Francisco Apachito, Carly and Alec Griego, Brianna Lardizibal and Pastor Tanya Griego. Also Selina Lucero and Manny Lardizabal, plus one of  the visitors from the crowd that had gathered, Mary Ann Vigil came forward to pray out of Psalm 91. What a blessing to be able to plan this again this year. The Body of Christ praying together in unity! How good and pleasant it is! Delighted to see so many friends that took time to come by including the HUB NM, Laura Rosecrans, and a team from TBN ABQ TV23. Great day to be from Albuquerque and in ministry here. Blessings, Bill RuhlGlobaldestinyministry@gmail.com
