We need God’s power to understand God’s vision. We need God’s power to fulfill God’s purpose. In Part Two of my sermon series, Where’s The Fire? Based on Genesis 22:1-8. We continue here in the classroom of God today. We can’t depend on “Good Music” to get the job done! We can’t depend on a “Good Sermon” to get the job done! We can’t depend on a “Comfortable Building” to get the job done! Those things are good, but they are never acceptable substitutes for the Power of The Holy Spirit! Amen!
Acts 4 tells us that Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke boldly to the crowds.
I also love what Paul wrote about his own preaching, in 1 Cor. 2:4-5 “My message and my preaching were not wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom but on God’s power.”
