Pearce Statement on Benghazi Committee Report

Washington, D.C. (June 28, 2016) – Congressman Pearce issued the following statement after the Select Committee on Benghazi released its report on the 2012 Benghazi attack:

I urge the American people to read the report to determine, for themselves, exactly what happened that night we lost four Americans. As I read and analyzed the final report, one thing became abundantly clear – the Obama Administration failed to take any meaningful military action. Quite simply, they did not try to help the Americans on the ground in Benghazi.  The American people rely on their government to protect them and it is clear the Administration’s response flirted with the bounds of incompetency.  As a former combat pilot, the lack of military response, or effort whatsoever, is baffling. I am deeply disappointed that our government did nothing in the face of an imminent threat against dozens of American lives,” said Congressman Pearce.
