Pastor Richard Mansfield of New Beginnings Church in Albuquerque prays over this situation….
Richard A Mansfield Heavenly Father, place Your hedge of protection around our neighbors and their properties, livestock and belongs on the east side of the mountains. Watch over them as this fire continues to spread and consumes everything in its path. Watch over those serving the community and providing shelter for those being evacuated as well as those firefighters fighting this fire. Keep all of them safe and give them Your peace as they face all of this anxiety. I pray in Jesus name, Amen!
THE HOT SHOT’S PRAYER
WHEN I AM CALLED TO DUTY, LORD…
TO FIGHT THE ROARING BLAZE…
PLEASE KEEP ME SAFE AND STRONG…
I MAY BE HERE FOR DAYS.
BE WITH MY FELLOW CREWMEMBERS…
AS WE HIKE UP TO THE TOP.
HELP US CUT ENOUGH LINE…
FOR THIS BLAZE TO STOP.
LET MY SKILLS AND HANDS…
BE FIRM AND QUICK.
LET ME FIND THOSE SAFETY ZONES.
AS WE HIT AND LICK.
FOR IF THIS DAY ON THE LINE…
I SHOULD ANSWER DEATH’S CALL…
LORD, BLESS MY HOT SHOT CREW…
MY FAMILY, ONE AND ALL.
Let is be in constant prayer for the families and all firefighters.
