The Tel Aviv stock exchange followed other global financial indexes on a downward trend in early trading Friday following Thursday’s referendum in the UK which ended in a decision to leave the European Union. Israeli diplomats and other government officials were also busy formulating new strategies for how to proceed in the new geopolitical environment. Meanwhile, a prominent British opposition lawmaker refused an invitation to visit Israel.
