11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. (Psalm 33:10-12)
In the Amplified Bible, verse 10 is rendered, “The Lord nullifies the counsel of the nations; He makes the thoughts and plans of the people ineffective.”
Tomorrow, June 14, is our nation’s Flag Day. With all that is going on in our land, one has to wonder, has the day lost its glory? We are living in a time in our very land, the land of the free, when many places will not display the Grand Ole Flag. I began to worry about our times when I first saw the perversion of our flag and its colors as presented and displayed by our now sitting president during his first campaign, then later as many times he removed the flag from behind his podium “so as not to offend anyone.”
We now have many aliens on our soil, both legal and illegal, who have no respect for our flag, because they have not the American spirit. We have those living among us who disrespect our laws, and our religions, as they trample Old Glory under foot. Even some of our natural born younger generation citizens have failed to inherit the American heart.
We have laws on the books that make these kinds of actions against the U.S. Flag punishable by fines and imprisonment, yet we fail to carry them out in defense of the flag. The United States Flag Code specifies that as the symbol of a living country, the flag to be considered itself a living thing.
Beloved American, it is obvious to me that we today are in another Civil War! However, it is not against North and South, we have no simple boundaries, no lines drawn in the dirt. It is not simply about differences in race or creed, nor even about the perversions, which challenge the very spirit of all, but it is everything to do with the conflict between the God of all creation, Yahweh, and the god of this world, Satan. All that divides hinges on that long-term conflict.
Believer, please pray our Nation. Pray that our flag will again, and always, stand for freedom and “one Nation under God with liberty and justice for all.” Pray our flag will again, be honored around the world as the flag that represents this freedom as a Nation and under the authority of Almighty God. Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit in Washington DC and over our entire Nation. Pray for a revival of the spirit of America, and our turning back to God, Who has blessed us, and could bless us again! GOD Bless AMERICA, as AMERICA once again BLESSES GOD!
