Are you ready for this? I am talking to the born again believer at this moment. You can read this if you want –but that is just it! You have a human mind; and a mind to choose which mind you want / desire / and hope to follow … When we are born again, we have the Mind of Christ living in us! Our mind is the attitude we choose; the Mind of Christ is the attitude of Christ…The Holy Spirit has the mind of God; and a voice.
How do we recognize the Mind of Christ?
HOw can we be sure our mind is in agreement with God?
Quick note of reference: These are the things I learn in our Ministry Meetings hosted by Hope in Today Ministries; and from Senior Pastor Jesse L. Alston, my spiritual mentor and teacher and Pastor over our ministry @ HOPE in TODAY, and our business and family … as we learn through the revelation knowledge that comes to us in the power of God’s Holy Spirit…I love to share with others what is good and helpful to me in my Christian walk.
I don’t post because I think I know more than you; I post because God is good; and I hope this brings glory to the Father and brings light to the Good News of Jesus Christ. So, I always ask you to pray, and just listen for God’s voice to speak to you for your own personal revelation that is from the same Spirit of God.
IF you are not a believer yet, please know that if you are reading this, and feel a desire pull on your heart to believe, … just believe that God loves you and has brought you to this place at this time to come to know and believe in the power of His love for you! And, tell God what He already knows. God just wants you to come to Him and trust Him. I hope this is a blessing to you and a demonstration of the character of God’s love. God’s love will change you, I know this, because God’s love changes me daily; and I am grateful that God doesn’t leave me the way I am; He knows I can be better! God changes my mind; and once my mind changes, so does my attitude and ability to please God improve. Christ’s mind is my strength! He is my confidence inside!
And by faith, I ask: Do you know how valuable you are to God? We all have an opportunity to grow deeper in our confidence of who we are to God, that is in Christ, to know God is right; Christ in us is our new mind and our new ability, but remember, we still have the old mind too. Which mind will you listen to? Christ brings us the opportunity to experience our personal relationship with God.
God has SO loved us …not to condemn us, but have life through His Son!
Let us begin with the words as the Spirit of the Lord woke me up to Sunday morning.
You can read this if you want –but that is just it! You have a human mind; and a mind to choose which mind you want to follow … if you are born again, you have the Mind of Christ living in you?
You have a mind! And, IF you are Born Again through believing Jesus Christ, you have the mind of Christ living in you!!! The Holy Spirit has a mind! But which mind will we listen to? We can sense the good pleasure of God when we come into agreement with God. And, we can grieve the Holy Spirit when our mind will oppose the thoughts of God.
Relationships with people gets difficult that second that one, or the other, steps out of the mind of Christ and goes into the human mind that empowers opinions, reasons out and justifies, takes risks without faith; and by human thoughts and feelings alone follows our fleshly and self-centered mind to do as we please. This is our sinful and pride-filled mind that will likely make excuses to do as we please and even judge another; and call our thoughts right without exercising our faith to pray; and seek out God’s face in how He sees our own heart. These are the characteristics of a human mind.
But God’s thoughts are right –not ours!
Oh yes! Our human mind can and will judge each other, and even shout out opinions, which is a sin in the face of Jesus Christ; and we can be deceived to thinking we are right in our own mind -if we were to allow that thought to continue; if we are not praying and asking God help us see our own heart, according to God’s will, even in the little details of everyday life. Pride opposes humility … Love is not proud…
Before we continue, the spirit directed me to add this:
We have a human mind that makes decisions; and we have a human heart that pumps life through our human body. In addition, that YOU that YOU know EXISTS in YOU beyond your aging body … We (YOU) are a spirit being! It is our “spirit” heart, that needs spiritual life blood from God to be born again and made new! Our “Spirit” Heart needs to be born again in Christ; and then we can pray to know the Mind of Christ to follow. We can pray for the All-Knowing Wisdom from God to help guide us in every detail of our life; according to the purposes God has for us… Do you know your purpose yet? In Christ, we are equipped with the faith in the Mind of Christ to please God; and love others well … God’s Way. Abide in God … the rest the Mind of Christ will direct.
Just another pause as the Spirit directs, Please read seeking the mind of Christ and be patient with me … Greater is God…
As the Spirit directs, let us also remember that there are 2 types of wisdom that will come to us regardless if we are born again … but when we are born again, [we have the grace of God with us] to overcome doubts and all temptations well! The 1st Wisdom I am referring to is the Wisdom from Heaven that calls us to believe for Salvation and the Grace of God that saves us; and to be with us through all things. The other wisdom will come to us from below to tempt our human mind and desires, regardless if we are saved by grace or not, but cannot tempt us beyond our own human desires. Yet, temptation will come in a way that will tempt our human mind to follow the enemy of God, even deceiving the elect (if possible). However, the difference is when we are born again, we possess the Mind of Christ to choose life with God and blessings from God, because we 1st believed and confessed Jesus Christ, Our Lord.
The Mind of Christ! Wow this is awesome information that I am so pleased to share with you, even if you knew this in this way already; this is good for me! And, I care about you to share, because I believe we all go through these struggles in relationships with people! Pray about this, but as far as I can see in my experiences, I believe relationships with people is our purpose on this earth; and I know we need to recognize the Mind of Christ is teaching us God’s Way to live in all relationships.
We must be born again to have the Mind of Christ; and then we choose to follow in God’s Wisdom!
This new revelation understanding has become such a strength and FREEDOM to me … in my mind and in my spirit!
Our “spirit” heart needs (born again in the Mind of Christ) (The Holy Spirit) to help us. And, to have the Mind of Christ, we must be born again. The Mind of Christ is to help us, guide us, stop us, protect us and enable us to do the will of God. The Mind of Christ is the Holy Spirit and the Voice of God sent to us!
Yes, the Holy Spirit has a voice! The Voice speaks the Mind of Christ, which is the will of God! Faith pleases God. By Faith we follow the Christ; and our faith in the Mind of Christ pleases God. And God works all things together for the good to them that love God …
“Is God’s Love attractive to others through you?”
SO that, they too will desire to seek to know the true love of God; and have the opportunity to come to know God’s love for them; ……and, then, have the real opportunity to discover that they will love God as well…this is powerful in the Kingdom of God!!!
Continuing on, Following our human mind alone, we can justify our ways and thoughts to be conformed to the ways of this world as right. However, what is right to God matters for souls. As a born again Christian, we really need to seek the Mind of Christ in all things.
I believe you are born again; and if not yet, I believe (if you are reading this), God has brought you to this to know that He loves you, so by the call of God on your life, I believe that you know that you have this grand opportunity to know that you are invited by God to be born again; and come into your personal relationship with God, so that your soul (MIND) is deemed good by the grace of God through your faith in Jesus Christ; and your spirit is reborn in the Mind of Christ. This is by God’s mercy, goodness and love that through grace we have been saved (it is not of our own doing, it is a gift of God). Now, how about the ministry of Christ you demonstrated daily? Is your spiritual heart in tune with the Mind of God? Don’t we all need a spiritual checkup daily? Otherwise, we could become wise in our own eyes? We have the Mind of Christ when we are born again! Praise God!
To be born again, the Bible says if you believe in your heart, and confess Jesus Christ as your Lord of your life, you are saved.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9
Talking to the believers, are we, as believers always quickly willing to align our mind with God’s mind? Are we willing to pause and seek God’s thoughts? We still have a human mind. And, this is a battle in our human mind to choose God’s will sometimes, but if we are willing to seek the mind of Christ 1st in our life; we will experience the evidence of our faith. When we are born again, our human mind is secondary and the Mind of Christ will become first!
When we will “roll our works upon the Lord and [commit and trust them wholly to Him], HE will cause our thoughts to become agreeable with His will; and thus our plans will be established and succeed.” Then, by trusting God and also trusting in Jesus and abiding in the power of God’s love, we will experience the mystery of God’s Grace!!!
Sometimes, don’t we, as believers battle in our mind sometimes, before we are transformed by the mind of Christ living in us to surrender to God’s Will and do the right thing by faith …? We don’t want to many times, yet, God is patient with us! We need to remember to patient and kind to others too!
What are the characteristics of the sinful mind?
What is our heart’s desire in any given situation … ? God looks at and knows our heart (and our heart is where temptation can tempt us in the desires of our heart); our heart is our spirit; and when we are born again, our spirit gains the Mind of Christ for life and Wisdom and Peace and Joy. What is our heart’s desire, when we are in position that things are not always as we wish they were? Is our heart’s desire to please God? Or, please self? Think about pride. Which mind are we using? The human thinking prideful fleshly mind; or the Christ-centered faith operating spiritual mind?
For study purposes, ask God to show you a comparison through His Creation for a deeper understanding: A horse’s brain has to be trained to think, not react; and reactions that you, as a trainer desensitize on one side of a horse’s brain, you must do the same to the other side to have a well “trained thinking” horse mind; rather than an untrained dangerous “reacting mind” … This is the nature of a natural horse mind, but can you see how we can learn that we were created with human minds, but because of sin, we have been given a new spiritual mind to come to know and believe through all Jesus accomplished for us on the cross. Our human minds are prideful and need trained in humility by the Word of God (living and written) to be useful in ministry; and to enjoy life well?
Isn’t being trained in humility similar? I believe there is a revelation in this to be discovered!
Are we willing to be still and know that God is God … before we react in our sinful mind that is being transformed by the Mind of Christ? Sometimes, God calls us to ACT, but the reaction / opinion is where we need to remember to pause and draw in the sand; as Jesus did.
We can be patient and give God time to do a good work.
As, our mind is being transformed by our Helper Spirit / our Training Spirit (the Holy Spirit). Just as when a horse is desensitized to its opinion of what is harmful by experiencing he is safe, a entire transformation takes place! So are we to experience that our opinions need to meet the Mind of Christ, and become transformed by the renewing of our mind. And, understand God is working on us (teaching humility and trust) for a good purpose to have the Mind of Christ in 1st place; and our human mind to become secondary to the mind of Christ.
For, in all good and righteous things …, we are in position (sent by God) in this world to make a difference for the Good News of Christ to be seen and experienced. The Choice is set before us …
But, before we can have a mind of Christ, we must have an experience with Christ.
What are the characteristics of the Mind of Christ?
Check this out! This new understanding has become an incredible strength, ability and FREEDOM to my human mind! The Holy Spirit has a MIND! And we have a human mind. They battle against each other, but when we are born again, our human / flesh mind becomes secondary to the mind of Christ, which becomes our 1st thinker!
This is a most amazing revelation! The Holy Spirit has a mind and praise God, when we are born again believers are have been given a new mind in our spirit to follow: The Mind of Christ!
What are the characteristics of love, fruit, Wisdom?
I have gained such a freedom in my human mind; and, freedoms from the “why(s)” in our struggles with people in this world!
The Bible says, “gain understanding…………………”

The Scripture that says, above all things you get, GET UNDERSTANDING!
The Holy Spirit has a Mind. This is the Mind of Christ!
5 Let this mind be in you (us), which was also in Christ Jesus:
Philippians 2:5 (KJV)
But, before we can have the mind of Christ, we must be born again.
Let’s look at this a minute.
Let’s break this down.
What does it mean to be born again? Let’s look at it to really go there in our human mind to understand just what God has done for us to believe!
- To be born again, is our body made new? It still gets old; our body still ages, gains wrinkles, grey hair and such, so it is not this human flesh that is made new.
- To be born again, is our mind made new? No. The Bible says to the born again believer, Do not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind! Our mind is the place of struggle! Just because our spirit is made new, with the Mind of Christ (when we have Salvation), our human mind is still in control of how we think and the choices we make! YOU MIGHT BE THE ONLY BIBLE A NON-BELIEVER WILL READ! Are you making the love of God attractive to others around you? The Mind of Christ is powerful and we can grieve the Holy Spirit!
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3. To be born again, is to be born of the Spirit of God with the mind of Christ indwelt in our spiritual heart! What is this spiritual heart? Our human heart pumps blood through our body for life in the flesh and blood, but our spiritual heart gains life through the resurrection blood of Jesus Christ!
Can you say,
“I have a personal Savior?”
If you have come to your born again spiritual relationship with God by believing on Jesus for the atonement of your sin, and life in Christ, your spirit is born again of the Holy Spirit power of the resurrection LIFE with God. And, you are born again to the Praise of the Glory of God’s Grace! God is the God of all comfort and the Father of all mercies, even the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!
What does it mean to have the mind of Christ?
We, when we are born again, must pray for a fresh anointing every day!
Our human mind that feels, thinks, even judges; also likes to seek credit, avoid responsibility, confess; and even be tempted to boast must be crucified daily to take on the humility of Mind of Christ, which is to the glory of God the Father. We can pray and ask God to search our thoughts and, then, we can choose to believe and love the mind of Christ!
The Bible also says,
“How long will you harken between two opinions?”
This is between our mind and the mind of Christ! “Roll your works upon the Lord, [commit and trust them wholly to Him] and He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable with His will and thus your plans will be established; and thus succeed.” Proverbs
Here it is!!!
Have you ever been frustrated with someone? One, or both of you, are in different minds! YET, for the born again believer in Jesus Christ our Lord, we are to be in one accord in the unity in the same Holy Spirit of God! In other words, in Christ’s mind, we (as believers) are made to be in one mind: The Mind of Christ!
This is the miracle!
Where there is unity in the Mind of Christ, there is the Peace from God that has been given for us (Jesus Christ) and The Wisdom of Heaven has been made available to us to pray for, seek, to find and experience the miracle of God’s Grace that has come down from Heaven for us to have life with God!
So, let’s break this down in how we treat each other!
In the mind of Christ, we can be patient and kind, because Jesus said, “Father forgive them; they know not what they do.” As, God has 1st loved me and I am every day and eternally grateful that God is patient with me as I learn to abide more and more in the mind of Christ!
What does it mean to be in the mind of Christ?
To be in the mind of Christ, we will notice that God cares for people; and Jesus has compassion on people. (I am not talking about the spirit of sympathy); Jesus IS the compassion for the world God gave to demonstrate His love. Jesus understands what it is like to have a human mind, but Jesus also was in unity of the mind of God; and in Christ, so do we have this choice of mind set! We choose!
We choose what we want to do; or we choose the will of God! Yet, the Mind of Christ is our desire to please God and this is the faith that Jesus teaches us.
The question really is, are we willing to seek God’s will, which means change our mind, admit our wrong, and do God’s will? God will most likely tell us we have to change our mind about something we are emotionally stuck up on; or strongly opinionated on.
The Mind of Christ, in a born again believer, will experience the miracle of God’s love changing even the desires of our heart.
The Bible says the Wisdom of God is 1st of all pure, which means the Mind of Christ does not leave us double-minded about doing the will of God.
James 3:17 “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”
The mind of Christ is the Wisdom from Heaven that has come down to us to guide us, correct us, stop us, help us; and the mind of Christ has a voice that the Holy Spirit will speak to us.
“Do you over-ride the mind of Christ with your mind?” (This was a question brought up last night in the Ministry Leadership Meeting); or, do you grieve the Holy Spirit? Which do you really experience? We can’t overpower the spirit of God, but what we really do is grieve the Holy Spirit. There is a battlefield in our mind when we oppose God’s will; and allow our mind to possess bitter anger and such –yet, in the battle, what we feel is that we can sense the power of the Holy Spirit in us grieved! Which is it? The answer lies in the mind of Christ and our biblical written instructions is to “put on the Helmet of Salvation…” and remember who we are! Christ will protect our mind if we are willing to let anger, bitter wrath and oppositions to God’s Way such like these go.
The mind of Christ will transform you into a new creature with a brand new ability to love and forgive; and equipped in all patience with kindness in the same areas that were tormenting your mind, spirit, body and soul before! Think about stress -and contrast stress to God’s Way. I truly believe that the freedom you are seeking lies within your spirit; and the Mind of Christ is your peace to discover to set you free!
This is a miracle from God to even understand this!
–The mind of Christ will supernaturally set your mind free; and free in compassion with a renewed strength and ability to MAKE A DIFFERENCE even in the lives of others!
But, first it begins with us.
We have to come to know and believe in the love God has for us. God is love. And, he who abides in love abides in God and God in him (1 John 4:16).
Again, before we have a choice to choose the mind of Christ, we must be born again and possess the Mind of Christ. Then, we have choices set before us to choose the freedom in the presence of God –knowing what it is to have the mind of Christ.
The power point to me today is that not only can we recognize the characteristics of the mind of Christ that is of the love of God (as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8), but also in addition, and perhaps the most freeing, is to gain understanding that what we battle in this world is the battle of the minds!
I am not the first one to come to this revelation, as I typed this, I have heard it before! But, still all glory goes to God the Father and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, because I possess the same mind of Christ as every believer; and we are joined as ONE in the same Spirit of God!
WHEW, WE MADE IT!!! Please read the conclusion!

When we are born again, our flesh mind becomes 2nd and Christ’s mind will become 1st! Praise God, this is a beautiful understanding!!! And, I got up this morning at 4 am to tell you the good news!
When minds don’t come into agreement, we have a choice to abide in the mind of Christ! And when our mind is in the right mind (the mind of Christ), we need to pray for each other in the power of the Holy Spirit that God will enlighten the human mind with the revelation thoughts of God!
This is true freedom of the mind! Freedom from the human mind to walk in the Mind of Christ; trusting God and trusting also in Jesus, the Christ, who is the Son of the Living God. He was born of a virgin, died on a cross, was buried for 3 days …But three days later … 3 days later –HE ROSE! Jesus is Risen and praise God that because HE lives, so do we in Him and in Him, we can know the mind of God and when our spirit is born again, our soul is saved and we can choose the mind of Christ! Greater is He who lives in us, than he that is in the world.
Don’t get mad at Satan for doing his job; don’t let bitter anger build up in your human mind –you cannot harken between the mind of Christ and your human emotional thoughts. We must choose to abide in the mind of Christ; and this my dear friends is where all spiritual, emotional, and physical freedoms lie to be found and experienced: In the Midst of the Presence of God!

Jesus said, “My burden is easy and my load is light” I pray for you that you always remember (and I pray for me too) that set before us is the Mind of Christ to choose; that let our choice come quick to surrender to the Mind of Christ that all may be well with our soul in peace and joy; and also for the power of praying for each other.
