From Pastor Dewey: I want to share with you a dream I had last night. The Lord brought my Dear Friend and Mentor Norm Merlock to me. Norm passed away just weeks ago. I saw Norm so very clearly, he said these words to me, “You are a witness”

Blew me out of the water……..I looked Norm right in the eye, he had his glasses on…..as soon as he said those words, he went away.

The Lord has been impressing upon me that in everything I do, do it do attract people to Him.

I asked the Lord this morning in prayer, what does that mean to me Lord?  The Lord showed me that I am to be a witness….I am to tell the world about Him. What does it mean Lord that Norm came to me and told me? The Lord told me, “Norm loves you, you love Norm, you have learned so much from him, he wanted to tell you for Me” It solidifies my mission for God.  So very timely as we get set to travel to Windom, Minnesota for Revival.

Norm has helped me in many ways to prepare for the rest of my life.

No hate, just a simple witness for Jesus. I am not to be anything else anything but a witness. Telling the world about my sweet Jesus.

Matthew 22:37New International Version (NIV)

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

I want to encourage you to have a close relationship with Jesus Christ,
you will never know what you are to do with your life, unless you have a solid, true relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, where you can smell His sweetness.

This dream, vision, is clear as day to me, the dreams the Lord gives me are never with an audible voice but delivered by the Holy Spirit, into my heart, soul and mind.

John 16:7

Here is my post from July 25th……….

Saturday at 6pm my Dear friend and mentor Norm Merlock passed onto glory! I cannot do justice in telling you how much I loved and respected this man of God. 2 weeks ago Pastor Ricky Gordon of FGGAMNorm Mand I visited Norm in the hospital. During that visit Norm taught me and Pastor Ricky much about the book of Revelation. To me, Norm was also a theologian, a teacher unlike any other I have had. Norm not only knew God’s Word, he lived it! He was a walking BIBLE! That is what I want to do. LIVE IT!!! Norm now is living in glory with our Lord. In the hospital, Norm told us that he would be going home to hospice care and that, “IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL”

Norm taught me how to end life here on earth.

I want that peace that Norm had here on earth, then to be received into glory.

I want to be a shining light for Jesus Christ here on earth in my remaining days like Norm.

I want to give the peace of the Lord to others like Norm did.

I want to help people in their relationship with Jesus, like Norm did.

I want to be able to say, IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL, like Norm did.

Please keep Norm’s wife, Kathy in your prayers. I had a wonderful visit with Norm and Kathy Saturday afternoon around 2pm, as the Lord said, Go visit, so I did! The Lord then called Norm home at 6pm.

Kathy is also a walking Bible, what a powerful, glowing couple, Norm and Kathy! Forever!

How are you and the Lord getting along today?

Is all well with your soul?

Are you at peace? The peace that only Jesus can give?

Can we help you?

Heaven is a prepared place, are you prepared for Heaven?

Windom Revival Update From Dave Fjeld of the Cottonwood County Citizen in Windom Minnesota

It’s not every day that Windom hosts a revival, but that’s what’s happening Aug. 26 and 27 at the BARC Auditorium in Windom. (BARC pictured above, formerly the Windom High School and Auditorium, Dewey used worked as a custodian there in the late 60’s early 70’s, His Dad, Wally, also served as a custodian at the school in the 50’s and 60’s before becoming the Supt. of Transportation)
That’s when “The Windom Revival: The Hope of Windom is Jesus” comes to town.
Again, Windom native Dewey Moede is leading the revival and is bringing in native sons, Pastor Bob Elness, Minnesota High School Hall of Fame coach Franz Boelter, and Paul Dokken, who now lives in Sioux Falls, to speak to what they hope will be a packed auditorium.
Moede was told by Windom resident Clara Nelson that the last time Windom hosted a revival of this magnitude was in 1972 when Lowell Lundstrom’s team came to Windom. Nelson told Moede that she still has the pamphlets and other items from that revival. Nelson, you may recall, is part of a group of women who are praying regularly for the revival.
Moede said last week that he is expecting to arrive in Windom a day or two prior to the start of the revival. He and Pastor Ricky Gordon are teaming up to drive all the way to Windom from their homes in Albuquerque, N.M.
“We have a trunkload of Bibles and other materials that we want to give away during the revival,” Moede says. “We want to give.”
Moede is excited to see what the Lord is going to do through this revival and admits that he is excited to be speaking about Jesus in his hometown.
“I am still in disbelief that I’m going to my hometown to speak about Jesus and how much I love my hometown,” Moede says. “But I’m not coming there for myself, I’m coming there to share my love for Jesus and my love for this community where my life started.
“It’s my way of saying thank you to Windom as much as I can.”
However, Moede won’t be the only one speaking. Elness, Boelter and Dokken also will be sharing, in one form or another, on both nights, Moede says.
Although the final details are still being worked out, Moede shared some plans for the opening night of the revival at which time longtime Windom coach and booster Jack Kelly will be honored. There will be a couple of special presentations and then all four men will share how Kelly impacted their lives.
In addition, First Responders, including ambulance, fire and police personnel, will be recognized.
Moede will bring the message that night which will focus on his love for Jesus and the place where that love was founded – Windom.
Moede admits he has no idea what to expect when leading a revival.
“I’m just praying that we have more than 25 people at this revival,” he says.
“From now until I come to Windom, I am focused on prayer.”
Moede says he will spend these next three weeks finalizing the details, structure and speaking order for both nights of the revival.
Watch for a revival preview on the Faith & Family page in the Aug. 24 issue of the Citizen.
Beauty on Highway 62
The revival is expected to be a “beautiful” couple of nights of celebrating Jesus.
But that’s not the only beauty in Windom right now.
If you’re out for a leisurely drive around the community on one of these late summer evenings or, perhaps, a Sunday afternoon, you’ll want to take a drive up Highway 62 east of Windom. Indeed, make sure you drive by the neighboring residences of Dick and Linda Vortherms and Dr. Harold and Marge Basinger.
You will enjoy the beauty those couples have produced in their yards with flowers boasting every color of the rainbow.
Here’s a hats off to the Basingers and Vortherms for treating us to some floral beauty!
Strong year for Pirates
Here’s a shout out to the Windom Pirates!
The last couple of years, the Pirates have been teetering on success, but always came up a bad inning short or were unable to hold onto a lead late in the game.
While that happened from time to time this year, the Pirates matured in 2016 and earned their way into the Region 13C playoffs. This is still a young bunch of players, but they definitely clicked on all cylinders during the second half of the year.
If they can keep this group together for one more year, I think you’re going to see great things from Windom’s town team ball club next year.

Pastor Dewey Note: We thank the Citizen and Dave Fjeld for all their support! The folks at the Citizen are amazing!!!!

I also want to thank Rod Byam of Windom who represents FGGAM. Rod’s support has been awesome heading up our efforts for God in the Windom area.

Rod is also supported by a committee of folks who are making things happen in preparation for the Revival! We cannot thank you all enough for your efforts and prayers! Amen!

I just got another call from a person in Windom, who called to voice her support and prayers for the Revival! PTL!

All for God’s Glory Alone! Amen!

We covet your prayers for the Revival, a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit, Revival begins with prayer, AMEN!Dewey Preaching in BelenDewey life verse
