Keeping Your Peace By Jeanne Theriault

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives, do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Jesus is saying here to hold on to your peace and not let your hearts be troubled though you may have issues and struggles that you may face day by day he is there for you.

Exodus 14:14 The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace.

One thing is do not let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace. Often times no matter how hard we try peace eludes us. The war in or minds rages on, and when you allow others to control your emotions ,your peace of mind becomes unstable. You need to walk in the Power of the Holy Spirit , then you can experience the peace that is promised to you.

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you.

When anxiety creeps into your life turn to the Lord and He will bless you with his peace.

Isaiah 32:17 The fruit of the righteousness will be peace the effect of the righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.

Never allow the enemy to rob you of your peace. The enemy uses every strategy to distract you.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.

1 Peter 5:8 Be self control and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him and standing firm in the faith.

The enemy fights us every day through situations and people we  encounter. He also battles in our thoughts and feelings. The bible warns us about this

Isaiah 24:10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed. Says the Lord who has compassion on you.

God delights in his children and helps us maintain our peace for God’s love and peace are perfect.

Psalm 29:11 The Lord gives strength to his people the Lord blesses his people with peace.

First you must fix your eyes on Jesus.

Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith.

Allow God to change our attitude by giving him thanks in all of our circumstances.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

As you begin to give thanks unto the Lord in the midst of your storms then you will experience his peace that will pass all understanding.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your request to God 7 and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 34:14 seek peace and pursue it

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since  as members of one body you were called to peace, and be thankful.

Proverbs 14:30 A heart of peace gives life to the body

119:165 Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Lord for your peace. As we fix our eyes on you, it is your promise in seeking peace you will strengthen us and bless us with your presence by the power of the Holy Spirit. You will fill us with joy surround us with your love for in quietness and trust is our strength. Amen
