Ahmadinejad Reemerges as Possible Presidential Candidate
Reports emerged this week that former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent a letter to US President Barak Obama demanding that he “quickly fix” a recent ruling by the US Supreme Court awarding $2 billion in frozen Iranian assets to victims of Iranian-sponsored terrorist attacks. The letter fueled speculation that Ahmadinejad may run for another term as Iran’s president in elections scheduled for next year.
