Israelis could take some satisfaction from a reprimand given to the leader of Lebanon’s Olympic delegation over the weekend for an incident in which he physically blocked Israeli athletes from entering a bus meant to transport them to the opening ceremonies Friday evening. However, the reprimand by the IOC did not stop the incident from being widely celebrated in Arab social and traditional media utlets as a “humiliation” of the “Zionist Enemy” and an act of “resistance” against “Israeli aggression”.
