Israel Takes Another Medal at the Rio Olympics
Israeli Judoko Ori Sasson collected the Jewish State’s second bronze medal of the 2016 Rio Olympics on Friday after defeating Egyptian opponent Islam el-Shehaby in the +100 kg division. El-Shehaby was loudly booed by the audience after refusing to shake Sasson’s hand following the bout and announced later in the day that he was retiring from the sport. In other Olympic news, Israeli windsurfer Maayan Davidovich finished in ninth place overall in Sunday’s medal race following a promising start.
