Archeologists Unearth Evidence of Biblical Account

The archeological excavations at Tel Lachish, southwest of Jerusalem, revealed a tower and gate structure in recent days which lends credence to the Biblical account of King Hezekiah’s reign, as recorded in II Kings. In the 18th chapter of that book, the Bible speaks of Hezekiah’s campaign to eradicate idol worship in his kingdom, and archeologists found evidence of this in the structure.

Moscow Chief Rabbi Warns of Growing Exodus of European Jews

Pinchas Goldschmidt, Chief Rabbi of Moscow, testified before the European Parliament this week, telling the assembled delegates that the Continent’s Jewish population is like a man caught between two oncoming trains. “One train is radical Islam and Islamic terrorism… the other train is the antisemitism of old Europe, the extreme right,” he said. He then added that this situation is leading to “tens of thousands of Jews leaving France, Belgium and other European countries.”

The new research gives hope to millions of people around the world who suffer health issues such as sepsis and related ailments such as pneumonia.

Poverty in Israel Raising Alarm About Malnutrition

A study was published this week by the Taub Center for Social Policy Studies in Jerusalem showing, among other things, that the average Israeli family does not have sufficient income to purchase healthy food and instead often opts for unhealthy alternatives, or in some cases, simply go hungry. The study raised alarm among health officials who warned of a long-term threat to the general health and well-being of the population.
