Christians are called to challenge the darkness and decay of this world by being salt and light but we need the tools to do that.
The only reason many people believe themselves to be atheists and too intellectual to believe in God is that they enjoy their unrighteousness, whatever that may include.
If we understand the reason for the delusion it is possible to use science and reason to at least cause people to confront the lie that keeps them from the truth.
