Get Up, Get Up, Go…Yes You…

Every morning when I leave my home, I play this song at least once. Some days, I must admit, I don’t feel much like raising my hand to say I will go. Some days it’s very easy and some days it is not.

Then you meet the faces on the journey of the day that have many needs. Although, I can’t tell them openly about Jesus, I can bring them hope. I treat them well, help them all I can and when I drive away, I ask God Himself to make a way for them. There are so many needs, so many hurts, so many vulnerable. One thing I am sure of is they need Jesus.

Sister Mary Kelley always told me that hungry people don’t care where the food comes from, they are just hungry. Stephen Lewis shares the same kind words (and food).

Some people get stuck in cycles of thinking and that’s all they know. Only God Himself can change mindsets. They think they are fine, they know no different, only God.

I had the great privilege to interview sister Mary on my radio broadcast Destiny Moments as well as Stephen Lewis from Friends Helping Friends several years ago. They both on the same night shared about ACTS. Stephen Lewis wrote a book ACTS The Next Generation and Sister Mary her book Beatrice. These two people are just downright amazing. I love their writing, but most of all, I love their heart. They carry the heart of Christ.

The fresh white snow falling on my car yesterday made me think of His mercy. As I started south for the day, I found myself thanking Him for the mercy He has for all mankind. I know I am accused sometimes of being too merciful, but I just can’t help it. He has been so merciful to me.

I know harvest season is passing here in Maine, but not the harvest I am talking about. Even the dusting of the snow doesn’t change what I know. The potatoes have been harvested and I am thanking God for a harvest of souls. He loves His people and His heart is that none should perish, no not one.

Will you raise your hand today, will you go? If you can tell them about Jesus-will you? If you can’t mention His name will you show it in action? Use the gift you have been given. Write, paint, sing, dance….do something for Him today. Sprinkle some hope wherever you go.

Have A Blessed Day Beautiful People, Get Up, Go…Yes You!

Then he said to his disciples, The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Matthew 9:37
