As soon as the sun set Wednesday evening and the stars began to be visible in the night sky, the sound of Succa’s (temporary booths) being built could be heard in Jewish communities all over the country. Jerusalemites awoke Thursday morning to the sight of dozens of festively decorated Succas and those in the German Colony neighborhood also heard and saw a joyous but frenetic tempo of activity at ICEJ headquarters as the staff and volunteers prepared for the opening of the 2016 Feast of Tabernacles.
