One week before Election Day, early voting is nearly twice as high as 2012
More than 26 million voters have already cast early ballots a week ahead of Election Day 2016, according to a new analysis by the NBC News Data Analytics Lab. That’s nearly double the amount of early votes cast at this point in the 2012 election, when roughly 13.5 million voters had cast early ballots. Early votes are cast by in-person voting, absentee voting and mail-in voting.
