“Barack Obama is the president of the most powerful country in the world. And what I called pathetic is not mentioning whatsoever in that statement the reality that there are thousands upon thousands of people who suffered brutally under the Castro regime,” Rubio said.
“Our goal is not to punish. Our goal is to figure out what can we do, through U.S. policy, to, number one, look out for the national interest of the United States,” he said.
“President-elect Trump has been pretty clear that there’s nothing wrong with talking to people, he’s been willing to talk to anybody, but we’ve got to have a better deal,” Priebus said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“No one expects there to be profound change, but there’s nothing wrong with going through the process,” the independent Vermont senator said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“It is a total and complete hypocritical joke that the group of people that thought that they were nervous about President-elect Trump not conceding are the people that are conducting recounts in states where we won by over 68,000 votes,” Priebus, President-election Donald Trump’s chief of staff, said on “Fox News Sunday.”
“It’s their decision. They ran a tough race. I’m moving on myself,” Ryan, who is challenging House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said on NBC’s “Meet The Press.”
“She congratulated him, and she conceded to him on election night, and the idea that we are going to drag this our now when the president-elect has been incredibly magnanimous to Clinton and the Obamas is pretty incredible.”
“We have one candidate who got 2 million more voters than the other candidate, but she is not going to be sworn in as president,” he said. “I think on the surface that’s a little bit weird.”
The chairman of the Republican Party of Pennsylvania insists Donald Trump’s victory in the traditionally blue state “wasn’t by luck” but due to a well-executed strategy.
“I would say that, from some point forward, people will not be allowed to apply for renewal for that status,” Rubio said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” in an interview that aired Sunday.
“I think even our members from the coastal areas recognize that we are not a national party right now,” Ryan, who is challenging House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), said on “Fox News Sunday.”
