God, Are You Bigger Than Drug Addiction?
On December 21, 2016 Presque Isle, Maine was the coldest place recorded in the United States dipping in at -21 degrees. Wow, it’s been cold here.
Once again the news of the day in Presque Isle, Maine on Tuesday accordingly to the online report is that we had five drug overdoses in four hours here in the Star City. Was it a bad batch of herion? Doesn’t matter, it is time to take action. The cold we can handle, but people losing their lives to drugs is not something we can sit back and tolerate.
Since we all believe in the power of prayer, let’s pray today about this issue. Let’s join faith across this globe for Presque Isle, Maine and you add your city to the list as well. Let’s come together and ask God to show His power in our cities.
Father, we come to you in the all powerful name of Jesus Christ. You are God with us and we are petitioning you Lord to perform Your promises. Lives are being destroyed in our cities from suicide, drug addiction and various ways the enemy can destroy a life. We have a real enemy that wants to kill, rob, steal and destroy. (John 10:10) He doesn’t care how he does it, he just doesn’t.
Today, we are joining forces across this globe for Presque Isle, Maine (add your city). We say no more. Drug dealers you will be found out. God you see who they are, you are the God that sees it all. Bring it to the light, we pray. We ask you Lord to move mightily across our land. We are no longer willing to sit quietly and see lives ruined. Lord, you said you would give your angels charge over us. We petition you to set watch over our city (cities). Hem Presque Isle in God (name your town or city) and lay Your hand upon us according to Psalm 139:5.
Watchmen on the wall-arise, awaken. The time has come to lift your voice like a trumpet. Awaken from your sleep, pray and believe.
Father, will you deliver those addicted today in our city? Give them courage to ask for help. Thank you for being their deliverer. Set up what they need Lord to be successful in overcoming their addiction. You know everything about them, you love them and have a good plan for their lives according to Jeremiah 29:11.
