We conclude our Christmas messages with “Use Power to Serve Others” Please read Matthew 2:1-12…..Yesterday I shared with you about Herod. The 1st. Century Scrooge! He was a man who hated Christmas more than the modern day Grinch and Scrooge combined! He was preoccupied with power! Herod was addicted to power! You could say it was an obsession with him. He loved being everyone’s boss! The problem is, the Bible describes that attitude as SIN. Herod was greedy, he was cruel, he was a killer! The killing came as a result of his greed. He murdered his own wife, his three sons, his mother-in-law, brother-in-law, Uncle and many, many others. Herod was preoccupied with possessions, prestige, and he was filled with PARANOIA! He ruled for more than 40 years….until he clashed with another KING, the REAL KING of the Jews! Listen now, please…..
