What times we live in today. Never in my wildest nightmares did I foresee that during a school board election that one of America’s largest school districts would see it’s candidates divided on whether or not children could cross dress as the opposite sex or use the bathroom of the opposite gender and that words such as discrimination would be used if you thought such ideas were immoral and abhorrent.
Yet, such is the case for the Albuquerque School Board candidates as they argue the merits of the inherently destructive immoral choice of transgenderism. According to an Albuquerque Journal article that appeared today, two of the APS candidates are opposed to encouraging and promoting the LBGTQ agenda and two are in favor of it even though one candidate, Ian Burch, called them victims by citing the high suicide rate of those caught up in the sin.
The sad fact is that we are even discussing the allowance of behavior that will destroy the minds and souls of our children, that people really believe that all types of sexual deviancy should be promoted in our schools. The next battle ground will most likely include pedophilia as progressives are already making that push and we are seeing more cases of student/ teacher abuse as a result.
The article does not reveal the party affiliations of each candidate but I am sure we would not be surprised by how they identified. What we should understand that as voters we can shape the education APS children will receive and therefore the likely future of Albuquerque and New Mexico should we choose candidates that oppose sexual immorality in our schools. It is my belief that school board elections are vastly more important than presidential elections because we are voting for the future rather than the present.
