New Mexico, as we used to say in the day, ‘has more problems that Carter has liver pills’, an old saying, but so true for the Legislative session that starts today at noon. I am very heart broke at all the problems that the Governor and Legislature are facing. New Mexico has so many severe problems, from having no money to abortion, failing education, violent crime, and on and on. Nothing will change until hearts are changed. Hearts need to be given to Jesus. There is joy in Godly wisdom. I am weeping at what New Mexico faces, as nothing seems to change in the state, both parties cannot get it right. It is all about JESUS! and not politics. You cannot play games with Jesus. You have to bathe everything in prayer. ABQ Journal Report
Politics solves nothing. Politics causes people to lose sight of Jesus.
We must not be of the natural mind, but have the mind, heart and soul of Jesus! Amen!
During 60 day session the news reports will come out of Santa Fe about this and that….will it be the same ‘nothing noise’ as it has been, which has resulted in more failing education, budget woes, babies being killed though abortion and child abuse, children being killed, drugs, violent crime…etc?
Abortion, Child burned to death in bathtub, children being killed through road rage, police officers being killed, children being shot by boyfriends of their Mothers, suicides, drug overdoses, child poverty, dissecting of babies brains at UNM….on and on I could go but I become physically ill…….
I actually had a lady ask me last week, “Do you think New Mexico can be saved, or is it done?” She was speaking to all the satanic activity in the state. I told her, that without Jesus we are all lost.
Someone must speak up for GOD and stand in the gap for HIM! Amen!
God’s Word teaches us that their are ramifications for bad behavior. New Mexico is experiencing just some of the ramifications now.
It’s all abut a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not politics, what would Jesus do if He was at the session?
Why is the World full of evil?
“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” Eph 4: 17, 18.
The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim. 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the road of hopelessness and self-destruction.
I pray that the Governor and the Legislators see the light of Jesus so very clearly.
This prayer is from Pastor Paul Holt of FGGAM:
We humbly ask you this morning for the hearts of the people of New Mexico. While there are many that desire to please you by doing your will, there are so many more that love the darkness more than the light.
Please forgive us, Lord for our sin and wicked deeds. We have turned away from you as a state and as one people giving a place to the devil and his demons.
We have chosen drugs, alcohol and sexual immorality over your righteous ways that bring life. We have then covered up our sin with murder and promoted it with the welfare state and foolish spending. Murderous hearts have replaced hearts of flesh, hatred for kindness and death for life.
We have become a safe haven for abortion instead of defending the life of the helpless.
The people can not hear your pleas for repentance and a return to real life and blessing because they seek their own ways and pleasures, it has become too easy for us to take the lives of children and give ourselves over to mental disorders brought by drugs and demon possession.
We have freely given New Mexico to Satan, even though his power and authority is nothing of consequence compared to yours Lord.
No more.
Jesus, we desire to reclaim New Mexico for you, Lord. We ask that our sins be forgiven and that you come to heal this dry and thirsty land. We understand that this will not be easy or pleasant for us but it is needed that we may be healed.
Lord, we have sinned against you but we know that you are faithful to forgive us of all unrighteousness if we are willing to humble ourselves and admit our sin and ask you to cleanse us and that is what we the people of New Mexico ask of you now, forgive us Lord.
In Jesus Name we ask, Amen.
January 17, 2017Wisdom Brings JoyOne of the most important tools in overcoming trials is wisdom. Ironically, this quality, which seems so rare in our world today, is actually readily and easily available to believers. Scripture says we simply have to ask, and God will give it generously. Though wisdom certainly has rewards, it does come with a price. If we ask God to make us wise, He will allow tests in our life. Their purpose is not to point out what’s wrong with our faith but, rather, to help us discover whether or not we’re wise. Temptations and difficulty also allow us to discern our level of devotion to the Lord. When we go through a time of testing, we learn whether we’re willing to say, “I don’t like this, God, and I don’t understand it, but I’m going to obey You no matter what.” There’s no way to know whether we would respond that way unless we go through trials that examine our faith. We grow in our devotion to the heavenly Father by making wise decisions despite opposition and by obeying when it is inconvenient to do so or when temptations are the hardest to resist. Such challenges are similar to a refiner’s fire: They sanctify and purify us, raising to the surface attitudes that we may not realize are in our life. These situations not only reveal what God is doing in us but also can turn up the heat if we try to muffle the Holy Spirit’s guidance. When we, through wisdom, allow God to do His work in our life, we will begin to experience blessings, see His power, and feel His love in new ways. And this new growth brings great joy!
